No explosives found during search of League City apartment after police respond to welfare concern

LEAGUE CITY, Texas – Police in League City said no explosives were found during a search of an apartment after authorities responded to a welfare concern Monday evening.

Police had responded to the Signature Point Apartments in the 2500 block of W. Marina Bay Drive.

The department said officers took a man into protective custody, but it was mentioned that there may have been explosives inside his apartment.

The LCPD Explosives and Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team responded to the apartment to check for any possible explosive materials.

At 10:10 p.m., the League City Police Department said no explosives were found during the search and officers have cleared the scene.
