Auto theft is skyrocketing nationwide and right here in Houston.
According to the Houston Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), auto theft is +10% nationwide, and +16% in Houston.
We crunched the numbers and broke down the most common locations where auto thefts happen in Houston. The data is from the Houston Police Department from 2023.
Nationwide there are 282 auto thefts per 100,000 people.
