Small private plane’s landing gear collapses upon touching down at Hobby Airport

HOUSTON – Officials said the landing gear on a small private plane collapsed as it was touching down at Hobby Airport Thursday.
A spokesperson for the Houston Airports System says crews from the Houston Fire Department are checking on the status of the people who were onboard the plane.
Operations at the airport have not been impacted by the incident and planes continue to take off and land.
