POWER OUTAGES: More than 2,000 CenterPoint Energy customers without power as rain moves through the Houston area

Reports of power outages are coming in as storms move through the Houston area Wednesday morning.

According to the CenterPoint Energy outage map, most of the outages were focused in the city of Houston.

A total of 2,369 customers are currently being affected by the outages, according to the CenterPoint Energy outage map.

The chance of thunderstorms will last for the next few days.
