Pickup truck slid on ice patch before crashing into residence, gas line in SW Houston

HOUSTON – A pickup truck reportedly crashed into a home after sliding on a piece of ice in southwest Houston on Wednesday.

The crash took place on Bellaire at Kirkwood.

According to KPRC 2 crews at the scene, the pickup truck slid into an ice patch in the road before running into the yard of the house and onto a gas line.

KPRC 2 cameras were able to spot several large patches of ice on the roadway after the crash.

A wrecker driver at that location said that this has been happening for the past few days.

No serious injuries were reported at the scene.
