TEXANS GAMEDAY FORECAST: Cool and sunny, but no freezing temperatures yet; Here is what you can expect at the game

HOUSTON – Saturday is the big day!

The Houston Texans will be taking on the Cleveland Browns in a rematch in a playoff game at NRG Stadium. The game begins at 3:30 p.m.

There has been concerns about the looming extreme cold in the forecast. Fortunately, you won’t have to worry about that Saturday as the cold air won’t arrive in southeast Texas until late Sunday and early Monday.

As you can see, the cold air is still up in Oklahoma, Kansas, and the Texas panhandle as the cold front begins to push southward.

As for game day, temperatures will be in the mid-50s around noon when you may be tailgating or heading to the game. It might be a good idea to take a light jacket. Close to gametime, temperatures will be right around 60 degrees. Around the time the game is beginning to wrap up, temperatures will once again fall into the mid and lower-50s. Mostly sunny to clear skies are expected through the entirety of the game.

If you aren’t headed to the game, but still want to watch it, it will be broadcasted on KPRC 2 starting at 3:30 p.m.
