MANVEL, Texas – A Pasadena police officer who authorities said was under investigation after a complaint of invasive visual recording was made apparently took his own life in Manvel Monday.

According to the Pearland Police Department, a complaint about an invasive visual recording was made to them on Jan. 6 against Kerry Heiserman, a Pasadena police officer. The department did not disclose the relationship between Heiserman and the person who made the complaint, but said the two knew each other.

An investigator was assigned to the case on Monday and reached out in an attempt to talk with Heiserman, but were never able to reach him to speak about the complaint.

The department said they received word Heiserman may have been in the Manvel area, so they reached out to the Manvel Police Department to see if they could locate him.

Manvel Police spotted Heiserman’s vehicle in the 1800 block of Morris Avenue just after noon Monday. Heiserman was found dead with a single gunshot wound.

Pearland Police say it appears Heiserman took his own life.

They are still investigating the complaint made against him.
