Houston Airports experiencing flight delays, cancellations amid heavy rainfall, thunderstorms

HOUSTON – Heads up, travelers !
Houston Airports - George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) - are experiencing some flight delays as heavy rainfall hits the Houston area this Friday.
Heavy rain with thunderstorms moved through Southeast Texas this morning. According to Meteorologist Anthony Yanez, there will be light rain the rest of our morning. Our afternoon is chilly and dry with temperatures in the upper 50s.
According to a spokesperson, there are 26 flight delays into or out of IAH and three cancellations.
There are currently 12 delays at Hobby Airport but no cancellations, Houston Airports reported.
