HUMBLE, Texas – Gunshots were fired in the parking lot of Deerbrook Mall after a meeting between someone selling something online and prospective potential buyers turned into an attempted robbery Thursday.
Humble Police said it happened a little after 8 p.m. in the parking lot on the Barnes and Noble side of the mall.

They said a person was selling something online and had come to the mall parking lot to meet potential buyers. When the buyers showed up, they attempted to rob the seller and it escalated into gunshots being exchanged between the seller and the suspects.
Humble Police said they were checking with nearby hospitals and clinics to see if anyone arrived with gunshot wounds, but as of 9:30 p.m., no one has shown up and it appears no one was injured in the shooting.
Police are still investigating.
