16-year-old shot in arm while walking in NW Houston; police searching for suspects

HOUSTON – Police are looking for several suspects after a 16-year-old was shot in the arm in northwest Houston Friday night, according to the Houston Police Department.

The incident happened in the 7600 block of White Fir Drive around 11 p.m.

Officers said they received several calls about gunshots in the area. They later made it to the scene and spoke to the victim.

He had been walking with friends, then a vehicle pulled up to them. Several men got out and shot him in the arm.

The bullet possibly got lodged in his torso, and his condition is unknown.

Officers said the teen and his friends later made it back to his house.

A second case could also be tied to this incident.

“There was another individual over there that we’re talking to right now that had someone that shot out of a van. We believe they’re somehow going to be linked, but we’re still working on it,” HPD Lt. R. Willkens said.

Overnight, police were seen looking for the suspects on Streamside Drive. If you have any information, you should call HPD.
