Houston police working to contact woman accused of assaulting Amazon delivery partner trying to deliver package

HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department is trying to contact a woman who an Amazon delivery partner says assaulted her and held her against her will while she was delivering a package at an apartment complex in River Oaks.

The woman was seen on video grabbing and shoving Jamaiya Miller while she was delivering a package at the Belle Meade at River Oaks apartment complex.

The incident happened on Dec. 16. Miller said she was verbally attacked by two women.

“We’ve had thieves here, and you’re a thief,” one of the women said in the video.

Miller said she was also physically assaulted by one of the two women.

Miller, an Amazon delivery partner, says she was trying to deliver a package to an apartment door at the customer’s request.

“I’ve had people be kind of weary because you’re in their space where they live, but I’ve never had someone get physically aggressive,” Miller said.

The Houston Police Department said its Major Assaults Division is investigating and currently are working to get in contact with the people involved. It will be up to the District Attorney’s Office to file charges.

Police say this is still an active investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to call police.
