Man injured after apparent road rage shooting near the Galleria

HOUSTON – A man was injured in a road rage incident near the Galleria Thursday night.

The victim said the incident began when he was driving southbound on the Southwest Freeway. After he passed a grey pickup truck, the truck passed him before he passed the pickup truck once again.

The truck driver then pulled up alongside the victim’s vehicle. Then, the victim heard what he described as a pop.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound to his side. He pulled into a gas station on Westheimer near San Felipe and called police.

The victim was treated at a hospital and released Friday morning.

He told KPRC 2 he’s okay but is still shaken up from the incident.
