Residents in Montgomery Co. MUD No. 139 under boil water notice due to reported power outage

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – A boil water notice has been issued for the Montgomery County MUD No. 139 due to a reported power outage in the area.

According to the MUD district’s website, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality notified all its customers to boil their water before consumption on Tuesday, Dec. 12.

This applies to residents who need to wash their hands and face, brush their teeth, or drink the water.

Children, seniors, and other residents with weakened immune systems are said to particularly be vulnerable to any possible harmful bacteria in the water.

Residents are encouraged to bring their water to a vigorous rolling boil and then boil for two minutes. Let the water cool before consuming or using.
