$100K bond set for detective charged with aggravated sexual assault in Manvel

MANVEL, Texas – A $100,000 bond was set for a detective charged with aggravated sexual assault, according to the Manvel Police Department.

The investigation into the sexual assault was launched on Nov. 16 after the incident was reported on Nov. 8.

Freddie Charles Douglas Jr., 40, who was identified as a Manvel detective, was arrested and charged. He was booked into the Brazoria County Jail.

Details about the aggravated sexual assault were not released.
