Young child in critical condition after multi-vehicle crash on I-45 in north Houston

HOUSTON – A young child is in critical condition after a crash involving two vehicles on I-45 in north Houston Saturday.

The crash shut down the northbound lanes of the highway at Parker Road. The lanes have since been reopened.

Houston Transtar had originally shown that five vehicles were involved in the crash. However, Houston Police clarified the crash involved only two vehicles.

Police said a young child was ejected from one of the vehicles in the crash. The child was taken to a hospital where they are in critical condition.
