MONTGOMERY, Texas – A horse was rescued from rising flood waters in Montgomery Sunday.

According to the Magnolia Fire Department, their technical rescue team assisted the Montgomery Fire Department and Texas A&M Task Force 1 with the rescue. The agencies happened to be staged in Montgomery County for severe weather.

The fire department said the horse experienced only minor injuries from getting stuck in a barbed wire fence and the rising flood waters.
