57-year-old man charged with murder after man found dead in street in NE Houston, police say

HOUSTON – A 57-year-old suspect has been arrested and charged after police say they found a man dead in the middle of the street on Thursday.
Tyrone Gray has been charged with murder.
Houston police responded to reports of an assault in the 8900 block of Bertwood Street around 7:40 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found a 62-year-old man lying unresponsive in the middle of the street. Paramedics pronounced the man dead from blunt force trauma.
Gray was arrested at the scene on an unrelated warrant. After a brief investigation, he was later charged with murder.
