Operation Lone Star update: Gov. Greg Abbott speaks in San Benito about border policies, enforcement
SAN BENITO, Texas – Gov. Greg Abbott provided an update on the state’s efforts to secure the border during Monday’s news conference in San Benito, according to a release.
Abbott was joined by Director Steve McCraw of the Texas Department of Public Safety; Major General Thomas Suelzer, Adjutant General of the Texas Military Department; Commissioner Eddy Betancourt of the Texas Facilities Commission; and other state officials.
