Woman shot in chest near west Houston gas station, police say

HOUSTON – An investigation is underway after a woman was shot in the chest near a gas station Monday morning, police said.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting shortly before 10 a.m. in the 12100 block of Overbrook Lane near Shadowbriar Drive in the Briarforest area.
Details on what led to the shooting were not immediately available.
The woman was taken to Ben Taub Hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time.
