PHOTOS: Therapy dogs visit pediatric cancer patients at Texas Children’s to brighten their day

In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, therapy dogs visited children with cancer at Texas Children’s Hospital’s Cancer and Hematology Center.

The dogs, part of the Pawsitive Play Program, provide support to children who may be having trouble coping with a hospital stay, new diagnosis or a medical procedure.

Therapy dogs Bailey, Pinto, and Pluto, along with their handlers, typically visit with patients individually, but for this special visit, they teamed up to bring joy to all of the children on the oncology floor.
