Body found in Sam Houston National Forest believed to be missing 23-year-old man, deputies say

CONROE, Texas – The body of the 23-year-old who was reported missing in the Sam Houston National Forest on Tuesday has been found.

Several agencies, including the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department, said after a lengthy search for the man, his body was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Christopher Loveall was last heard from by family and friends on Sunday at 12:30 p.m., deputies said.

Loveall’s friends found his vehicle in the forest at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Detectives determined that Loveall’s cellphone was last tracked at the Sam Houston National Forest, and the signal was no longer active, according to deputies.

Detectives said they will continue to investigate the scene.
