HOUSTON – Surveillance photos were released of a suspect accused of fatally shooting of a 62-year-old man during a robbery on Sunday in southeast Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

The shooting was reported around 7:15 p.m. in the 6600 block of Ledbetter Street.

Houston police said the suspect, between 25 to 35 years old, was seen driving a gold Buick sedan and circling the block several times prior to the shooting. The sedan allegedly stopped near the 62-year-old man as he walked to his car. That’s when the suspect got out of the driver seat, pointed a gun at the man and demanded his wallet, according to police.

Police said a struggle broke out between the man and suspect and the suspect shot the victim, took his wallet and fled the scene.
