Power restored after outage impacted over 6,500 customers in Spring area

SPRING – Over 1,000 residents in the Spring area were experiencing power outages on Thursday evening.

According to Centerpoint Energy’s website, the power was originally expected to be restored by 6:15 p.m., however, it was updated around 9 p.m.

Officials from Centerpoint provided the following statement:

“Yesterday at 5:09 p.m., CenterPoint Energy Electric Operations locked out a circuit to conduct unplanned equipment inspection, impacting around 6,500 customers along the Hardy toll road. Operations worked safely and as quickly as possible to restore customers’ service throughout the evening, with the last group of customers’ power back on at around 9 p.m.”
