Amazon driver killed after truck jack knifes in wet conditions on Beltway in NW Houston, deputies say
HOUSTON – The driver of an Amazon big rig is dead after a crash in northwest Houston Tuesday, Precinct 4 deputies said.
It happened in the 7500 block of N. Sam Houston Parkway around 1:15 a.m.
Deputies said the 18-wheeler, driven by a woman, jack knifed on the eastbound side of the tollway. The woman was then ejected from the big rig.
Precinct 4 toll road units are working this fatal crash with the assistance of neighboring precinct toll road deputies.
Investigators believe wet road conditions were a factor in the incident.
All lanes in both directions are still closed for an undetermined amount of time.
