Man accused of fatally shooting brother-in-law during argument may be fleeing to Mexico, HCSO says

HOUSTON – Authorities are searching for a murder suspect they fear may be heading to Mexico. Samuel Ibarra-Cleto, 33, should be considered armed and dangerous.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Ibarra-Cleto is charged in the death of 38-year-old Arturo Pecina-Rodriguez, who was shot to death in the 5800 block of Elberta Street.

Deputies said the two men, who are brother-in-laws, were having an argument Monday night when, at some point, Ibarra-Cleto, pulled out a gun and opened fire.

Pecina-Rodriguez was shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators received information that Ibarra-Cleto is fleeing to Mexico in an effort to avoid apprehension and prosecution. 

His vehicle is described as a blue-ish, 2009 GMC Sierra, two door extended cab with a Texas temporary license plate (39103P7.) Ibarra-Cleto is still believed to be in possession of the murder weapon and anyone who may cross paths with him are cautioned not to approach, but rather contact authorities.
