Woman sustains life-threatening injuries after crash with METRORail train in Midtown, police say
HOUSTON – A woman has sustained life-threatening injuries after a crash involving a METRO light rail train Thursday, police said.
The accident happened in Midtown on Alabama Street near Main around 4 a.m.
As of now, it is uncertain how the crash happened. There was a significant amount of damage on the driver’s side of the woman’s vehicle.
According to METRO officials, both Alabama and Main streets were closed as authorities worked to clear the scene but they reopened around 6:30 a.m.
An investigation is currently underway.
