Man stabbed in parking lot of Galleria area Best Buy on Black Friday dies from injuries

HOUSTON – A man who was stabbed during a violent altercation in a Best Buy parking lot on Black Friday has died, according to Houston police.

The brutal attack happened in the 5100 block of Richmond Avenue, in the Galleria area, around 6:05 p.m.

Witnesses told officers that two men were arguing while walking towards the Best Buy store entrance. The argument escalated, and one of the men punched the other, then pulled out a knife and stabbed him multiple times.

“I see the guy, he hit the guy on the floor, then like he didn’t care and he hit him in his face, and then he hit him with the knife, then he walked away,” said witness Beni Jaafar.

The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment, but succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, according to police.

The suspect is still on the loose. He was last seen wearing a yellow reflective traffic vest and had dreadlocks, according to police.
