HOUSTON – Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a cell phone store in west Houston.
The robbery happened around 4:40 p.m. on July 31, at a cell phone store in the 10200 block of Westheimer Road, police said.

In a surveillance video released by Houston police, the man is seen walking up to the counter, handing the employee a phone and asking the employee for help.
After she takes the phone, the video shows the man crossing his arms on the counter and waiting a while before pulling out a small handgun from what appeared to be his waistband and pointing it at the employee.
In the video, the man then reaches over the counter, grabs the employee, throws her on the ground and drags her to a back office. The employee can be heard screaming in the video. The man is then seen walking around with a black trash bag, rifling through drawers and pocketing cash from the register.
Police said the man grabbed several cell phones and the money before fleeing the store.
The man is described as a Black male between the ages of 20 to 25. He is about 5 feet 7 inches tall and was wearing a black shirt, red pants and black Champion baseball hat.
