2 former graduates of Klein ISD return as educators

HOUSTON – Two former graduates of Klein ISD have returned to the district as educators.

Amongst the 600 new teachers joining Klein ISD are two graduates who are also best friends. One a graduate of Klein Oak and the other, Klein High.

This year, Lauryn Reynolds and Tori Borden will both begin their teaching career at Bernshausen Elementary School. Reynolds will be teaching second grade and Tori Borden will instruct kindergarten students. Borden said it is special that they will be able to work together and return to their roots.

“The district instilled the love for learning for me,” said Borden.

The district said it is giving students an option, but not a mandate, to wear masks on campus.
