Texas House Republican Caucus discuss “13th Check” legislation efforts

HOUSTON – The Texas House Republican Caucus held a news conference Thursday to discuss the “13th Check” legislation.

The legislation is designed to provide a one-time additional payment -- known as a “13th check” by teachers and lawmakers -- of up to $2,400 to retirees no later than January 2022.
