Houston gang member arrested, charged for trafficking 14-year-old girl, authorities say

HOUSTON – A gang member accused of trafficking a young teenage girl has been charged in connection with the crime.

Porter Bush, 44, was charged with child sex trafficking after police said he trafficked a 14-year-old girl from February through June 2018.

Authorities said they found the girl near the Bissonnet Track – an area near the Southwest Freeway and Bissonnet where traffickers place minor and adult victims for commercial sex.

Police said they conducted a traffic stop and found Bush and the girl inside of the vehicle. According to court documents, Bush pretended to be the teen’s stepfather.

If convicted, Bush could face between 10 years to life in prison as well as a maximum $250,000 fine.
