Suspect flees after woman sitting in car shot, killed inside vehicle, police say

HOUSTON – A manhunt is underway after a woman sitting inside a vehicle was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon in southeast Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

The shooting was reported around 2:55 p.m. in the 5200 block of Myrtlewood Street.

Police said after the woman was shot the suspect ran from the scene in an unknown direction.
