The Texas Department of Public Safety said Tuesday that a cash reward of up to $7,500 is on the table for information that leads to Salinas’ capture.

Salinas, who has been sought since April 2015, has ties to Brownsville and the state of Georgia. His last known address was in Brownsville, DPS said in a news release.

In 2003, Salinas was convicted in Dallas County of aggravated robbery and sentenced to 15 years in prison, investigators said. In the 1990s, Salinas also went to prison several times for drug and burglary convictions.

He stands 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 185 pounds, officials said. Salinas has tattoos of teardrops on both of his upper cheeks near his eyes, a tattoo of a cross on the center of his forehead, a tattoo of a star on his chin, and multiple other tattoos on his neck, chest, hands, arms and legs. Salinas may be known by the nickname "Pito," and might wear glasses, DPS said.

Texas Crime Stoppers is offering the cash reward. Tips remain anonymous.
