Driver flees scene of multi-vehicle crash on Highway 249 near Veterans Memorial

HOUSTON – All eastbound lanes of Highway 249 from Ella to Moonglow were temporarily closed Thursday morning due to a multi-vehicle accident.

The view from Sky 2 showed at least four vehicles were involved in the crash.  One car flipped over and two others ran off the shoulder.

Several people were transported to the hospital.  Their conditions were not known.

Deputies were searching for one of the drivers, who fled the scene of the crash.
