Deputies look for 4 men who robbed Subway at gunpoint

Sugar Land-area shop targeted late last month

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – Investigators are looking for four men accused in an aggravated robbery case at a Subway restaurant in the Sugar Land area.

A $5,000 cash reward from the Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers is available to anyone who can provide information that leads to an arrest.

About 12:45 a.m. March 31, deputies were called to the sandwich shop in the 11500 block of Highway 6 South, according to a news release from the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.

One of the men entered the Subway while the other three walked past the door outside.

The man inside the store ordered a sandwich while one of the others entered a few seconds later, pointing a handgun at the cashier and demanding money from the register and the safe, deputies said.

The man who had been ordering fell to the floor, pretending he was just surprised to be witnessing a robbery, while the gunman leaped over the counter, continuing to demand cash while pointing the weapon at the cashier’s head, according to the release.

Another man came inside and helped the gunman by standing near the cash register and collecting money as it was handed over, deputies said. The first assailant inside the store left.

All four men ran northbound from the Subway shop.

All are described as being in their late teens or early 20s.

“These are the kind of guys we want to round up,” Sheriff Troy E. Nehls said. “They are dangerous and it will be your calls that will enable us to catch them.”

The first suspect is about 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing around 190 pounds. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.

The second suspect is about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing around 165 pounds. He was wearing a black sweatshirt with a gray hood and gray arms. He also was wearing black pants with white stripes down the sides.

The third suspect was the same height and weight as the second suspect, but he wore tight black pants, a black hooded sweatshirt with gray arms, and an orange- or red-colored baseball cap under his hood. He had on red or orange sneakers, deputies said.

Suspect No. 4 is about 5 feet 4 inches tall and wore baggy black pants with black tennis shoes. He also had a black hooded sweatshirt with a black hat and a gray brim. He appeared to weigh about 145 pounds, deputies said.
