In Montgomery County a strong showing as Election Day approaches. As of October 29, 2026, more than 170,764 voters had cast ballots.
Harris County’s 2026 early-voting total has topped 953,000, putting it well above the 2022 midterm total of 752,491 and the 2018 midterm total of 855,711. It’s also close to the 953,593 ballots cast during early voting in 2016, though still below the nearly 1.2 million recorded in the 2024 presidential election.
Sources: Texas Secretary of State historical election records, Houston Chronicle and current early-voting data.
REMINDER: Today is the final day of early voting. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you haven’t voted yet, there’s still time to cast your ballot.
