Election results: Houston mayoral race, Texas propositions, METRO bond and more

On Tuesday, voters went to the polls to elect a mayor in Houston, decide on a transportation bond, numerous school bonds and a variety of State Constitutional amendments.

The Harris County Clerks Office said people worked through the night to tabulate the votes, which were delayed because of a rule change by the Secretary of State's Office. Officials at the Clerk's Office released the first unofficial results 12 hours after the polls closed, and Mayor Sylvester Turner and Tony Buzbee will likely go into a runoff scheduled for Dec. 14.
