Mother, 3 children found dead in Deer Park home identified

DEER PARK, Texas – Authorities have identified a woman and her three children who were found dead Tuesday morning in a Deer Park home.

According to Deer Park police, officers were conducting a welfare check about 8:45 a.m. at a home on New Orleans Street near Georgia Avenue, when they found the four bodies.

The victims were identified as 39-year-old Ashley Auzenne and her children: 11-year-old Parrish Auzenne, 9-year-old Elanor Auzenne and 7-year-old Lincoln Auzenne.

Police said the victims' bodies were found in various locations inside the house and all of them had suffered gunshot wounds.

Investigators will not say definitively that this is a case of murder-suicide, but no one is in custody and police are not looking for a suspect.

"There is a gun inside the house was used in this incident," said Lt. Chris Brown, of the Deer Park Police Department. "A handgun."

Neighbors are appalled and stunned at the tragedy.

"I'm upset. Children? Really?" said Annette Flores. The Auzenne children played at her home regularly.

"Children are innocent, I mean, I mean, it's just, it's a waste, and it's just really bad, "And it makes me angry that someone would take it out on children."
