MARION COUNTY, Texas – A woman is dead after a large tree fell on her tent while she was camping during severe storms in East Texas Sunday.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office identified the woman as Mary Zaruba Pinney, 41, of Mont Belvieu, Texas.

KETK in Tyler reported Pinney was killed at the Brushy Creek campsite, a campground maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and located on the southwest shore of Lake O' the Pines, after straight-line winds caused major damage to the area.
Pinney's husband was seriously injured and taken to a local hospital. The couple's three children were not injured.

MCSO officials said the campground was full when the storm hit.
Police in nearby Longview say a 41-year-old man was killed Sunday when a tree fell on a mobile home.
Authorities said a few other people were hurt in the storm, but they were taken to an area hospital.
