'Live PD' shows police working night shift

HOUSTON – Starting Friday, viewers in the Houston area and across the country are getting an up-close view at Fort Bend County Sheriff's deputies on the job.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office announced that it will be featured on the show "Live PD," which airs on the cable network A&E.

The show is a live look at police across the country as they work the night shift in real time. Viewers are encouraged to post their comments about what they witness throughout the night on Facebook and Twitter.

In-studio host Dan Abrams and analyst Tom Morris Jr. give viewers their insights on what they see in real time. It's done through a mix of dashcams, fixed rig and handheld cameras, which bounce between the featured police department and give inside looks at each live incident.
