Drought conditions continue in eastern Texas after Hurricane Harvey

HOUSTON – Drought conditions continue to spread across the eastern half of Texas.

In November, the area received only received half an inch of rain total.

In the past week, drought conditions in Texas has risen from affecting 46 percent of the state up to 60 percent.

Even though there was record amounts of rainfall with Hurricane Harvey, most of Southeast Texas did not seen much rain through the summer. 

The U.S. Seasonal Drought Outlook suggests that more drought conditions will develop through February 2018.
