Houston T-shirt printer waits to hit 'Print' for World Series shirts

HOUSTON – T-shirt printing companies have been busy this week, and could be busiest Wednesday night if the Astros clinch the World Series.

Business "Paul the Printer," in northwest Houston, has thousands of boxes full of blank t-shirts ready to print if the Astros officially become the champs.

"We absolutely do not want to make any mistakes or jinx any of the Astros luck," Paul Phoenix, owner of Paul the Printer, said.

They were all ready to print Tuesday night after Game 6, but the Astros lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers 3 to 1. They have another chance in Game 7 and Paul the Printer will be ready to start printing all night long if they win.

"I do have the screens ready, I do have the shirts all prepared to start printing for the Astros when they win, but we certainly don't want to do anything to jinx it. It's crazy. It's crazy. You didn't realize it would happen but it did."

Once printed, the shirts will be at Kroger stores on Thursday and Walmart stores on Friday. The shirts will cost $20.

If the Astros lose, the t-shirts will not be printed.
