SUGAR LAND, Texas – State Highway 99 reopened Wednesday at the Brazos River, according to officials.

The toll road, which is also known as the Grand Parkway, was closed last week as flooding from Hurricane Harvey pushed the river out of its banks.

Fort Bend County deputies tweeted that the road reopened to traffic about 8:50 a.m. in the New Territory area.

Some side and surface streets are still closed as a result of flooding, especially in the Memorial area of Houston.
