MISSOURI CITY, Texas – An area teacher was the recipient of a random act of kindness while she was purchasing school supplies at a Walmart in Missouri City, according to a post on a Facebook community page.

A woman captured video of the incident and posted the touching moment on social media.

Ashleigh Jefferson Stephanson posted the following message with video of the exchange on the Sienna Plantation Neighbors group: "...A customer in front of a teacher noticed all of the supplies she had on the belt. The woman asked the teacher why she was purchasing them and she explained, prompting the woman to pay for ALL of them and trust me, there was a lot!! I was so moved, I grabbed my camera to record it...Lol we need more acts like this going around! Kindness is timeless and only takes a moment.”

What appears to be several boxes of crayons and a stack of notebooks remain on the belt as Stephanson’s camera rolled.

“That was awesome! I just had to (video) that, I’m sorry,” Stephanson is heard saying in the video.

The woman who paid for the supplies is heard saying, “They have to go to school. It’s the only way that makes it easy.”

It’s unclear how much the supplies cost.
