DASHCAM: Texas thief makes a not-so-speedy getaway
A man was caught trying to make off with a Walmart electric shopping cart Wednesday morning in Longview, Texas.
An officer caught up with the 52-year-old thief, pulling him over after spotting him slowly cruising along the side of the road.
Watch the video above. According to KXAN , authorities began investigating after receiving a call from a Walmart about a theft in progress. Store employees told officers that a man had stolen one of the electric shopping carts.
The man was arrested and charged with theft of property greater than $2,500, less than $30,000. The cart is worth about $4,000.
