Baby born in back of Uber

LOS ANGELES – An Uber driver in Los Angeles made a special delivery when a woman in his car couldn't make it to the hospital in time.

A baby boy was born Friday night in the back seat of the Uber driver's Lexus.

Erica Davidovich called for an Uber because she was having contractions, but she didn't think she'd give birth for another 10 hours until her water broke in the car.

The driver pulled into a parking lot honking his horn and the woman's husband, Niv Davidovich had caught the baby in the back seat.

"All of a sudden it was so painful I said call 911 or something, do something, and the head's coming out and we're all screaming,” Erica Davidovich said. “We didn't know what to do.”

"I called 911 and then she said, 'Oh my God, I think I'm having the baby right now,'” Niv Davidovich said. “I caught him as he came out. So that's what I did, I just caught him.”

"The baby just wanted to come to this Earth really quickly," Uber driver Raymond Telles said.

The mother apologized to the 23-year-old Telles about it all happening in his car.

They credit him for being so calm and helpful.

He later celebrated with the couple gave them an Uber onesie.
