HOUSTON – Court documents show that Valerie McDaniel, who has an 8-year-old daughter, was arrested Friday, along with her boyfriend, 39-year-old Leon Jacob, for plotting to kill her ex-husband and his ex-girlfriend.

Valerie filed for divorce in 2014 citing "infidelity" and "discord or conflict of personalities."

Also outlined in the divorce documents, Valerie was to make a nearly "1.25 million dollar payment" in the split, and the couple divvied up several high-end cars.

Valerie got the property where the Montrose Veterinary Clinic is, along with a River Oaks high-rise condo. Her ex got property on Tiki Island.

Valerie posted bond on Tuesday.

An attorney for Marion “Mack” McDaniel III released the following statement on Valerie's release:

“Mr. McDaniel’s focus is solely on the emotional well-being and physical safety of his daughter. He does not intend to speak publicly about the events but he is thankful for the overwhelming support shown to him and his daughter.

With regard to Dr. McDaniel’s release on bond, we are very concerned given she has little to lose at this point. However, we are confident the courts will continue to take the steps necessary to protect Mr. McDaniel, his daughter and their family.”
