Man, 18, caught after stealing officer's Taser during burglary, police said
No description foundLa Porte police have arrested a man accused of stealing a Deer Park officer's Taser, police said.Â
Officers said Nicholas Arthur, 18, broke into an off-duty Deer Park officer's personal car on Jan. 6 at a home on South Nugent in La Porte.
Investigators said the locking mechanism on the officer's car made for easy entry and escape.
Information from a witness led detectives to Arthur, police said.
Arthur was questioned, and investigators said he admitted to the crime.
They recovered the stolen Taser and returned it to the Deer Park officer.Â
He was arrested and charged with burglary of a motor vehicle.
