On Tuesday evening, police officers with the Humble Independent School District were called to Jack Fields Elementary School to investigate the claim. The man showed the boy the video during YMCA after-school child care, the district said.

On investigating the incident, police determined that no other children saw the video.

Dawson was not employed by the district. The charge he faces is a Class A misdemeanor.

The YMCA released a statement saying, “The YMCA of Greater Houston maintains a zero-tolerance policy for abusive and inappropriate acts toward children. After learning of this offense, the YMCA immediately contacted the child’s mother, the Humble ISD police, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, and the Humble elementary school’s principal. The employee has been terminated. The safety of the children in our care is the YMCA’s highest priority.”
