RICHMOND, Texas – Investigators are looking for two men who used bolt-cutters to open a locked gate surrounding a home, and then took off with several pieces of commercial-grade lawn equipment, the Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers said Thursday.
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 cash for information that leads to charges for the two men involved, according to a news release.
Just before 12:30 a.m. Oct. 26, deputies with the Fort Bent County Sheriff’s Office were sent to a home in the 3800 block of Jan Street, in Fresno, to investigate a reported burglary.
In addition to the lawn equipment, the burglars stole a hoverboard. They were on the property for about 20 minutes, and made several trips to carry the stolen items to the road, officials said.
No vehicle was spotted in the surveillance video.
Both burglars are described as 18 to 25 years old. One wore a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with light shorts and sandals. He appeared to be in charge, and ordered around the second man, who wore a light-colored hooded sweatshirt and pants. He was seen in the video holding the bolt-cutters, deputies said.
Commercial-grade mowing equipment is sought-after right now, Sheriff Troy E. Nehls said.
